The comprehensive service offered provided by MJM Access covers both access issues in the town and the countryside for businesses or organisations who wish to improve the level of service they provide or for new development projects. Often the solutions to problems of access in the town will not be the answer to those in the countryside. However the service offered by MJM Access can address the complexity of issues posed by the different environments to find realistic and affordable options for clients. Specialist areas of expertise include access to buildings, holiday accommodation, gardens, country parks, urban areas of open access and farmland.

Access to the countryside is underpinned by complex legislation that can deter the most enthusiastic person from trying to improve access for people with disabilities. Add to this the misunderstanding of the capabilities or wishes of people who would like to venture out into the countryside and exercise their legal right to do so; the result is that very little being achieved. MJM Access has the expertise to match the need to comply with legislation whilst making the most of the level of access available. Areas of expertise include the
development of accessible recreational routes, improvements to promotional material and a general overview of services provided.
Based on 16 years experience MJM Access also offers specialist services that specifically relate to problems associated with rights of way (Public Footpaths, Bridleways and Byways Open to All Traffic. Including compliance with Highway, Environmental, and Disability Discrimination legislation.
The work of MJM Access provides impartial advice regarding improvements to the levels of service available for the public, particularly people with disabilities.
There are an estimated 10 Million people living the UK who have disabilities of whom approximately only 5% use a wheelchair. Millions of people are prevented from accessing services due to physical and social barriers, and a lack of understanding of their needs.
Businesses and organisations that provide a service are legally required to have regard for the needs of people with disabilities, to review the service they provide and take steps to improve access wherever possible.
By doing nothing any business is ignoring their legal responsibilities and missing out on an increased profit by not being able to provide an accessible service. People with disabilities have an estimated £50 billion a year to spend.
MJM Access places an emphasis on identifying realistic solutions that relate to the type and size of business and organisations for the short and long term.
